When Todoist is the better fit
If you capture something on a Mac, check it on an Android phone, and assign a follow-up to a colleague using Windows, cross-platform access is central to the workflow. Todoist offers apps and account-based sync for that kind of use, along with shared projects and task assignment.

No. A subtask breaks work into smaller pieces. A dependency establishes that one task must be completed before another becomes actionable. Todoist’s plan table documents subtasks; this comparison does not infer a native prerequisite-and-unblock workflow from that feature alone.
If you already rely on an integration or automation for dependencies, evaluate its behavior and maintenance separately. The relevant question is whether your blocked work reliably becomes visible when you can act on it.
