Terms of Service
Last updated: September 5, 2026
These Terms
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Sardorbek Rakhimov, the independent developer and publisher of Chorsu (“we”). They cover this website, the Chorsu apps, and Chorsu Pro purchases. If you downloaded Chorsu from the Mac App Store, the app itself is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard EULA; these Terms apply alongside it to whatever it does not govern, and if the two conflict for the Mac App Store app, Apple’s terms control.
Chorsu Direct license
If Chorsu Direct becomes publicly available and you obtain it, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to install and use it on up to two Macs that you own or control. Except to the extent applicable law expressly permits otherwise, the license is non-transferable and you may not redistribute, resell, rent, sublicense, or reverse engineer Chorsu.
Free tier and Chorsu Pro
Chorsu’s core capture loop is free. The free tier currently includes up to three active projects, with unlimited tasks. Chorsu Pro is a one-time purchase, at the price shown at checkout, that removes the active-project limit in the edition where it was bought. It is not a subscription.
We may change the features or usage limits included in the free tier from time to time, including the number of projects or tasks available without upgrading; the limits shown in the app at any particular time are not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely. When reasonably practicable, and whenever required by applicable law, we will give notice before a material reduction. A change to free-tier limits will not by itself delete existing local data. If a workspace exceeds a revised limit, creating or reactivating items may be unavailable until usage is reduced or Chorsu Pro is unlocked. Changes to the free tier do not alter the one-time nature of an existing Chorsu Pro purchase or remove a purchased Pro entitlement, subject to refunds, revocations, these Terms, and applicable law.
Purchases and refunds
Mac App Store edition: purchases are made through Apple, the seller of record. Billing, receipts, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms; we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves. Planned Chorsu Direct edition: purchases will be made through Polar, the merchant of record, under Polar’s terms, including its refund process. The two editions are separate products: a purchase in one does not unlock the other, and each edition keeps its own separate local workspace.
Your data and backups
Chorsu stores your content locally on your device. We hold no copy and cannot restore your data, so you are responsible for keeping backups (for example, with Time Machine). To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of data.
AI-assisted features
Chorsu uses local rules and routing signals to interpret captures. Project, date, and prerequisite interpretations can be wrong or incomplete — review them before relying on them. Core capture, automatic project routing, and English date parsing do not require Apple Intelligence. Optional Apple on-device model assistance depends on your hardware, macOS version, settings, and system language, and may be unavailable. AI clients you connect through MCP, and the optional Codex integration planned for Chorsu Direct, are third-party services governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for them.
Acceptable use
Use Chorsu and this website only in compliance with applicable law, and do not interfere with or disrupt them.
Intellectual property
Chorsu — its code, design, and branding — belongs to us and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Everything you create in Chorsu belongs to you; these Terms give us no rights to your content.
No warranty
Chorsu and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise, except as expressly stated in these Terms, that Chorsu will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will be updated or supported, or that any feature will remain available.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to Chorsu or these Terms is limited to the total amount you paid for Chorsu.
Your consumer rights
Some laws do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence — or waives any right you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under applicable law; the two sections above apply only to the extent permitted.
Termination
You may stop using Chorsu at any time. We may terminate a Chorsu Direct license if you materially breach these Terms; termination of a Mac App Store license is governed by Apple’s Standard EULA. Sections about data, intellectual property, warranties, liability, and governing law survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and disputes are subject to the courts of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law gives you mandatory protections, or the right to bring disputes in your local courts, nothing in this section takes those away.
Changes, severability, and contact
We may update these Terms; the current version is posted on this page with its date above and governs from that date forward. An update does not retroactively remove a purchased Pro entitlement or the free-tier safeguards above. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
