A natural-language reminder lets you write a task and its time together. In Chorsu for Mac, book a dentist appointment tomorrow at 9 am can become a task with a local reminder. The useful habit is to check the resolved date and time rather than assume every phrase means what you intended.

Create and check a reminder

  1. Open Quick Capture with your global shortcut and write one task with an English time phrase.
  2. Press Return and choose a project if Chorsu asks. The task is organized as part of capture.
  3. Read the confirmation. Check the day and time Chorsu understood. An explicit 9 am or 2 pm communicates your intent more clearly than a bare number.
  4. Allow notifications when prompted. Chorsu asks when you first save work that needs a reminder or dependency notification, rather than at first launch.

English phrases to start with

Examples for Chorsu’s English date parser
PhraseWhat to check
tomorrow at 9 amThe following day and the morning time shown in the confirmation.
Friday at 2 pmThe resolved Friday date as well as the afternoon time.
Monday eveningThe Monday date and the time used for evening in your preferences.
in two hoursThe resulting time relative to when you captured the task.

Chorsu also recognizes English month names and day/month numeric dates. Named months are usually easier to read across regions. Parsing is English-only; a translated system interface does not add another parsing language.

If the time is wrong or a phrase is not recognized

Do not assume that saving the task always created the reminder you wanted. Unsupported or ambiguous wording may leave you without a reminder. Use a clearer English phrase, check the task’s reminder details, and correct the date and time as needed.

To adjust a saved task, click its row in the workspace or right-click it and choose Edit. Open the Reminders chip, change the date, enable Include a specific time if needed, and click Save Changes. The time in the capture confirmation is a display, not an editing control. Turning on Apple Intelligence is not a fix for date parsing: Chorsu’s English date rules work without it.

If the notification does not appear

Open Chorsu Settings and check Notifications. If macOS has denied permission, open System Settings → Notifications → Chorsu and allow notifications. A denied permission does not delete the task or its reminder.

Notification banners are delivered by macOS and are best effort. Use Chorsu’s own task lists as the record of your work. These reminders are local to Chorsu on this Mac: they do not appear in Apple Reminders or Calendar, and they do not sync to your phone.

A time is not the same as a dependency

Review the draft tomorrow at 9 am is time-based. Review the draft after Finish the draft depends on another task. If the draft is late, a time alone cannot tell you that the work is ready.
